Cycle Town
Cycle Town is an identified key priority project in the Town Investment Plan creating a visible hub of cycling activity and encouraging participation amongst all of the town’s communities, including underrepresented groups.
Newark has Brompton bike hubs at Newark Northgate Train Station, Newark Castle Train Station, Newark Bus Station and in the heart of the Middlebeck development.
The dock at every location holds 8 Brompton folding bicycles and residents can book out the bikes via the Brompton bike hire app available on the Apple and Google store. Once downloaded, residents need to create an account and have their ID at the ready. Bikes are 24 hour hire as standard and you can hang on to it for as long as you like. The Brompton Customer Service team may check in with you to make sure everything is going smoothly after 30 days.
When you're finished with the bike, residents can simply drop the bike off at the docks. Bikes are simple to unfold and can be placed easily on trains and in offices, even under desks.
Brompton want to make cycling as easy and as accessible to as many people as possible. That’s why 24 hours of hire costs just £5.

Lots of Bike Hire members use hire as a thorough test ride. And that's because hire fees can be redeemed against the purchase of your very own Brompton - up to £150 for a regular bike and £250 for Electric.
