The long-awaited audit report into the circumstances surrounding the sale of Municipal Buildings and proposed extension to London Road car park has been received by Newark and Sherwood District Council.

Work is starting this week to carry out important conservation work to Newark Castle. A condition survey was carried out earlier this year identifying necessary repairs to both the internal and external walls and care was then taken in finding a unique and specially trained team able to achieve the improvements.
