District Council launches another round of the Business Support Programme

Posted on: Wednesday, January 31, 2024

Business owners across Newark and Sherwood can receive support and advice on how to grow their businesses by taking part in the District Council’s Business Support Programme. Delivered in partnership with The Consulting Room, the Programme will take place over 16 weeks and will provide business owners with knowledge and support on how to grow their business.

The Programme is aimed at those in their first five years of trading. It will guide them through how to create an actionable, strategic plan focused on delivering business growth.

Eligible business owners who participate in the Programme will receive 24 hours of direct support from two experienced business mentors, peer support from fellow entrepreneurs in group sessions and a network of like-minded business owners. Additionally, they will have weekly actions to take away from sessions to move their business forward and 1:2:1 coaching focused directly on their business.

The eight group sessions will commence in March 2024 and are supplemented with eight one-hour 1:2:1 coaching sessions, taking business owners through a structured programme to create a strategic plan for business success.

Key topics covered include finance and cash flow, building value in your business, marketing, essential systems and IT, business networking, sales and understanding customers, creative thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Places are limited to 12. To apply for your place, please contact Michael Hardy on 07770 346384 or michael@the-consulting-room.co.uk by Friday 23rd February. Details of when and where the sessions will occur will be given upon successful entry into the Programme.

The Business Support Programme is just the latest way the District Council are supporting local businesses with a range of events, initiatives and support clinics where businesses can listen to expert advice and receive practical tips directly related to their business.
