Newark and Sherwood District Council has this week launched a new partnership with 3GS, an environmental enforcement company, to further strengthen efforts to keep local streets, parks and public spaces clean and safe.

Government launches statutory consultation on Local Government Reorganisation

Today, the government has launched a consultation on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, and everyone can take part. Nottingham and Nottinghamshire councils are encouraging residents, organisations and partners including police, NHS and education providers to have their say on the Government led statutory consultation as part of the ongoing proposals for LGR in the area.

New CCTV control room set to strengthen local safety

A brand-new CCTV control room dedicated solely to Newark and Sherwood is set to open at the start of April. It will bring major improvements to how incidents are identified, monitored, and responded to across the district.
