The District Council announces enhanced Public Space Protection Orders, shaped by local community

The District Council is pleased to announce that work towards creating a safer Newark and Sherwood continues, with the final approval and implementation of updated Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) across key areas of the district.

Getting to know our tenants

Newark and Sherwood District Council have rolled out a programme of visits to all 5383 tenants in order to get to know them and to ensure tenants know how to get involved in services and scrutinise performance, signpost for any support needs and check their home is safe and secure.

District Council Pledges To Do More To Alleviate Flooding

Newark and Sherwood District Council has pledged to continue its hard work to alleviate local flooding and to seek more support from Government. At Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, councillors confirmed their support for a Motion made last week by Councillor Paul Taylor which will see the District Council lobby local MPs, East Midlands Mayor Claire Ward and the Government for support, both financial and in reviewing and developing regulations and legislation.
