Garden Waste Recycling Service
Did you know the Council provides a garden recycling service across the district?
For just £35 a year you get:
- A brown bin
- An all year-round collection service, every two weeks between March and November, and monthly from December to February
- Facility to dispose of your Christmas tree (cut up) in your garden waste bin in January
The service runs from 1 April to 31 March. There are no concessions or pro-rata for joining the service part-way through the year. Extra bins are available at a further £35 each.
Upon receipt of payment you’ll be sent a sticker to place on your bin. Please ensure this is clearly placed on your bin as only bins with stickers will be collected.
You can check to confirm your garden waste collection days for 2023/24 on our website.
What can you put in your brown bin?
- grass cuttings
- hedge trimmings
- small branches and twigs (up to 10cm in diameter)
- plants and weeds
- cut flowers
Do you struggle to put your bin out for collection? We may be able to help. Complete our assisted collection request online form for an assessment.
