Annual Palace panto promises another year of festive family fun
Posted on: Tuesday, June 25, 2024Grab your magic carpet and get ready to fly into festive family fun with this year’s Palace Theatre Newark pantomime, Aladdin.
Running from Friday 6 to Tuesday 31 December, and in collaboration with Jordan Productions, families and audiences of all ages are invited to come along on this journey filled with laughter, magic, and wishes galore!
Beware! Widow Twankey, played by Phil Stewart, is on the lookout for any man in the front row, while her zany son Wishee, played by the outrageously funny Danny Childs, struggles to keep her under control. Alex Scott Fairley is all set to cause trouble as the evil Abanazar this festive season, whilst Emma Marsh is on a mission to stop the baddie as our hero, Aladdin.
Carys Coulton-Jones, Business Manager for Heritage and Culture at Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “I am really looking forward to welcoming people back into the theatre this winter for another year of pantomime fun.”
“It’s undoubtedly a must-see, and what better way to spend this holiday season than creating cherished moments with loved ones, surrounded by the enchanting atmosphere of the Palace Theatre?”
People aged 8-18 are also invited to come along to the Palace Theatre Newark to audition to take part in this year’s pantomime. On Sunday 8th September, enjoy a fun-filled day of dance, where you’ll learn a routine with a professional choreographer for the chance to perform in Newark’s number one panto!
