Housing with care
Living independently can become challenging for some people as they get older. Extra care or housing with care facilities provide a suitable alternative to some people, allowing them to stay in a home with its own front door and private space whilst the additional communal facilities and personal care support available can provide social activities and prevent the need to move to a care home.
Newark and Sherwood District Council run four independent living housing schemes across the district. Further information on the additional extra care schemes available across Nottinghamshire are shared on Nottinghamshire County Council website.
Designed for independent living
Within all our extra care properties the Careline service is included within the service charge.
Our team of cooks based across the sites provide freshly prepared meals consisting of main course and dessert as well as creating delicious treats for the communal events.
The onsite team provide non-care based support to residents and arranging activities such as games afternoons and performances from local groups.
