Allocation scheme review consultation

In 2004 we introduced the use of a Choice Based Lettings scheme for the purpose of allocations. The current Allocation Scheme has been in use since July 2020 and needs updating to reflect changes in the law, regulation, our policies and general accepted good practice.

Section 168(3) of the Housing Act 1996 Part 6, as amended by the Localism Act 2011 states that when an alteration is made to a scheme reflecting a major change of policy, an Authority must ensure within a reasonable time that those likely to be affected by the change have the effect brought to their attention.

The full draft of the Allocation Scheme can be found here: Draft Allocation Scheme July 2024 (PDF File, 433kb)
