Local Volunteers Transform Community Spaces thanks to UK Shared Prosperity Fund
Local volunteers in Newark and Sherwood are transforming community spaces while gaining accredited skills, thanks to skills funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). Volunteer It Yourself (VIY) has been awarded £60,000 by Newark and Sherwood District Council to provide skills development opportunities for local young people.

Partnering with Nottinghamshire Police, Newark and Sherwood District Council have used the latest Night of Action to raise awareness of the dangers of mixing alcohol with drug use. The night also marks the start of ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) Week, which takes place between Monday 18 to Sunday 24 November.
