Update from Newark and Sherwood District Council in relation to an unlawful development in Weston

Latest update as of Thursday 7 August 2025: In May 2025, we attended court to seek an extension to the injunction previously obtained on land at Weston. The terms of the injunction include a maximum number of caravans and motor homes on the site and prohibits further development of the land.

While we are continuing to prepare our defence for the planning appeal that has been lodged with the Planning Inspectorate (scheduled for November 2025), the injunction and its terms remain in force.

We have been made aware of potential further works on the site and our teams are investigating this. We are monitoring the site and would apply to the court to take appropriate action if the injunction was breached.
