Garden recycling service
Garden waste renewal letters and emails are now going out to all our current customers. Please look out for your letter!
For new customers, you can sign up for our next year’s garden recycling collection service starting on 1 April 2025.
For just £38 a year you get:
- A brown bin
- An all year-round collection service, every two weeks between March and November, and monthly from December to February
- Facility to dispose of your Christmas tree (cut up) in your garden waste bin in January
The service runs from 1 April to 31 March. There are no concessions or pro-rata for joining the service part-way through the year so it is advisable to sign up now! You can purchase extra bins at a further £38 each.
How to renew your bin or sign up as a new customer?
You can order or renew your brown garden recycling bin using our online form or alternatively, using our resident portal 'MyNS' where you can track the status of the request.
Upon receipt of payment you’ll be sent a sticker to place on your bin. Your sticker will arrive after 10 March 2025. Please ensure this is clearly placed on your bin as only bins with stickers will be collected.
You can check to confirm your garden waste collection days for 2025/26 on our website.
The operational costs of providing this service have continued to increase year on year and while we have been able to freeze the cost previously, this year we have had to increase the cost of the annual garden recycling service £38, in order to continue providing this service across Newark and Sherwood.
By agreeing to pay for the service you will be accepting the terms and conditions of our garden recycling service.
