- Regularly check the portal: Make a habit of checking the portal regularly for updates, replies to messages and any changes to appointments.
Housing register
While MyHome is now live, we ask those on the housing register to wait patiently until we contact you to let you know you can update your details on the new system. We hope to have MyHome open to applicants in the coming weeks and we will contact you directly when you can access the site.
We record when applications are made so applicants’ waiting time will be taken into account. The processes associated with your application, including possible allocation, system changes and amendments will not negatively impact your application.
The allocations system will be activated in stages and existing applicants will be contacted and asked to register their housing application. This will then be assessed against the Allocations Scheme and a banding awarded.
The housing register will remain closed to those not already on the register for a few more months while we move over current applicants. Once this is open to the public again, we will let residents know.
If you need to contact the housing team in the meantime, please reply to this email or contact housing.applications@newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk. You can also call 01636 650 000 and press option 4.
