Designed for children under five and their families, each week has a different theme, so no two weeks are the same!
Councillor Rowan Cozens, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Heritage, Culture and the Arts at Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “I really would encourage families to book up for one of these brilliant sessions. They offer a fantastic way to introduce your children to the magic of museums and inspire future generations to explore and learn more about history. Both the Civil War and Newark Museum galleries are jam-packed with toys and interactives and with music and storytelling too in our beautiful Tudor Hall, the sessions really allow families the chance to have fun, get creative, and learn something new - and for free too!”
Mini Museum runs from Thursday 6 November to Thursday 18 December. Sessions are free to those living in Newark and Sherwood, but spaces are limited, so booking is required. The Centre has a fantastic family-friendly café on site serving homemade food and cakes too.
