The grant scheme gives community groups, charities and eligible parish councils from across the district the chance to apply for up to £20,000 to help deliver projects and initiatives that will improve the lives of residents.

On Saturday 25 January, Rainworth and Blidworth Boxing Club officially reopened for the community, following essential improvements undertaken on site. The Club has successfully raised over £120,000 to help fund works, with £100,000 awarded from Newark and Sherwood District Council through the Rural England Prosperity Fund and UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The District Council in partnership with Nottinghamshire Police have extended the closure order on 148 Yorke Drive until 15 April 2025 while 91 Yorke Drive has seen a partial closure order extended until 14 April 2025.
