Nottinghamshire County Council is responsible for our highways and looks after the roads in our district.

Changes to The Highway Code

The changes to 'The Highway Code' announced by the Department of Transport came into effect on 29 January.

A hierarchy of road-users has been introduced ensuring quicker or heavier modes of travel have the greatest responsibility to reduce the danger or threat they may pose to others on the road.
