Upcoming events

Saturday 7 June 2025 - 1940s picnic

Commemorate the anniversaries of VE Day, D-Day and VJ Day at St Simon and St Judes Church, Rainworth. Bring a picnic to enjoy on the grass and take part in traditional sports day activities, stalls and much more! There will also be a short service at the war memorial at 10.45am to begin the event. 

Location: St Simon and St Judes Church, Rainworth

Timings: 10.45am - 3pm. 

If you would like a stall, please email RainworthBlidworth.Chair@rbl.community. To secure your space, they would need a non refundable payment of £10 per stall. All proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion.

Saturday 7 June 2025 - 1940s VE Day Disco

Come along for an evening of dancing to commemorate 80 years since VE Day! Take part in a 1940s best dressed competition and try your luck in the raffle! Enjoy a 1940s disco, children's games and much more!

Location: The Venue, Rainworth

Timings: 7pm - 11.30pm.

Tickets available behind the bar: £3 each. Children under 12 - Free

Saturday 19th July - Sunday 20 July 2025 - Clipstone at War

A real spectacle as the Clipstone Headstocks Museum transform their showground in to a war scene. Vehicles, artillery, soldiers, re-enactors trade stalls, live period music on stage all day, great food and a bar selling cold ones for just £3. They are supported by large displays of living history and all our team are approachable and happy to talk about their involvement.

£5 per person plus £8 for guided tours of our military and mining museum.
