Highly skilled creators of musical instruments recreate rare medieval pieces

Students at Newark’s world-renowned School of Musical Instrument Crafts have been challenged to revive music from nearly a millennium ago by constructing medieval musical instruments as part of their annual ‘Fiddle Race’ event.

The generosity of Newark and Sherwood residents has shone brighter than ever this festive season, with an incredible 535 donated presents ensuring hundreds of local people in need will wake up to a gift on Christmas morning.
