Newark and Sherwood District Council invite businesses across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire to attend its third annual Economic Growth Conference on Thursday, 12 October, at The Pumping House in Boughton. This year’s conference theme is ‘Achieving successful customer service and business sustainability.’

Through unique, exciting and inspirational keynote speakers and workshops led by leading experts, attendees will receive valuable insight in achieving their sustainability goals and tackling the challenges that stand in the way of achieving Net Zero. In addition, delegates can pick up some tips and tricks on providing excellent customer care.

The conference’s keynote speaker includes Geoff Ramm, an inspirational speaker, author and creator of Celebrity Service, who will discuss a fresh way to look, think and act on upgrading customer service to make your business memorable to customers. Lisa Davies, Director and Chief Inspiration Officer at Get The Edge, a community devoted to encouraging an authentic, heartfelt approach to leadership, and author of Get a Life: The Guide Book, will also be the MC for the day.

Other presentations will provide attendees with information on available opportunities, including funded support and programmes on sustainability and low-carbon energy in the East Midlands. In addition, Barcode Warehouse will also present on customer care and how they are solving customer problems at their new innovation centre.

In addition, two workshops will be available for delegates to choose from. They will focus on business sustainability and customer care. More information about these workshops will be available soon.
