Landscape Character Assessment SPD

Our Landscape Character Assessment Supplementary Planning Document ('LCA SPD') provides an objective assessment of the varied landscape in Newark and Sherwood. It also gives a greater understanding of what makes our landscape locally distinctive.

Through the identification of specific policy zones, the LCA SPD provides the basis for considering landscape issues as part of decisions over new development. As a Supplementary Planning Document, it is capable of being a material consideration within the planning process.

Copies of the Adoption Statement, Sustainability Appraisal Screening Report and EQiA Screening Report can be provided upon request.
