Fab-u-lous Star Heads to the Palace Theatre!

Celebrating the release of his first Solo album, ‘Revelations – Song Boys Don’t Sing’, Craig offers a personal evening, showcasing his hidden singing talents and revealing tales of his life and love for performing. He said: “This show is unlike anything I’ve ever done. People aren’t going to see ‘The Judge, Craig’. They’re going to see the real Craig. It’s about my life, it’s who I am. It’s the most personal tour I’ve ever done”.

His spectacular show visits the Palace Theatre on Sunday 22^nd June, forming part of an impressive tour of over 50 theatres across the country.

Starting his journey into showmanship at school, music-loving Craig began his career working in musical theatre, before becoming one of the UK’s best and most influential directors, and earning Laurence Olivier Award nominations for his choreography for ‘Spend Spend Spend’ and ‘My One and Only’.

In 2024, Craig had the opportunity to work with the UK’s leading musical theatre record label, Westway, delivering an album of tunes showcasing a marvellous, pitch-perfect voice. He now brings his showcase of favourite songs and stories to theatres, stepping out of the shadows and into the spotlight of centre stage, promising a wonderful evening of entertainment.

“So the record, and the tour, gives me an opportunity to sing songs that I know and love,” he said. “The show will be about my love for the music and how it's affected my life.”

Craig will be joined on tour by Ben Goddard, a talented musician who fans will know from their double-act on Celebrity Gogglebox.

It’s exciting to welcome such an icon of the show industry, and we’re looking forward to what promises to be a magnificent evening.”

Craig Revel Horwood is just the beginning of big-named stars visiting the Palace Theatre this year. In April, we welcome Billy Billingham, Chief Instructor on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, as he shares his incredible, inspirational story, as well as Former football player Paul Merson kicking off “An Evening with Paul Merson” with a dive into dressing room gossip, life working for the media, and his personal challenges. ABC frontman, Martin Fry, also presents an intimate evening of stripped-back music and conversation in June – a must-see for all music lovers.

Councillor Cozens concludes, “I am so proud of our town’s rich heritage and its support for culture and growth. The District Council is committed to doing all we can to make Newark a destination of choice for people to live, work and visit, and the fact that we can attract such celebrities to our beautiful theatre building is another proud testament to how fantastic Newark is.”
