The summer season kicks off in May offering laughs a plenty with The Comedy Store on Saturday 3 May. Then, join us on Friday 9 May for TaylorMania, the ultimate Taylor Swift tribute show, followed by toe-tapping hits with the Magic of the Bee Gees on Saturday 10 May. It’s going to be a weekend jam-packed with music, dance, and whole lot of fun! You can also enjoy pre-show dining before Steeleye Span on Sunday 11 May as we round up a spectacular weekend of live entertainment.

But, that’s just the beginning! Throughout May, the Palace Theatre continues to bring stellar performances to Newark. Experience the incredible X-Factor quartet G4, with their beautiful harmonies, followed by the hilarious Dad’s Army Radio Show, A Vision of Elvis, and Back to Bacharach. Closing out this incredible month are two more outstanding tributes with Tom Jones: Sex Bomb and Jimi, The Legend Lives On rocking out on stage.

June brings more must-see performances, such as Sherlock Holmes Strikes Back, and the one and only Martin Fry of ABC on Thursday 12 June. Fab-u-lous Craig Revel Horwood will light up the stage with his new show, ‘Revelations’, on Sunday 22 June – a must see for fans of musical theatre and Strictly Come Dancing! Craig has had an illustrious career as a dancer, choreographer, director and best-selling author, and now joins us to showcase his remarkable singing talent on a night that promises to be filled with big songs, tall tales and plenty of glamour, so book early to avoid disappointment!

Highlights in July include Albert Lee, one of the most respected guitarists in music history, and Steve Steinman’s fantastic show ‘Love Hurts’ takes to the stage on Saturday 26 July.  Shows continue into September including a special concert to celebrate the music of the Royal Air Force Concert Band, and the American Four Tops.

Carys Coulton-Jones, Theatre Manager said: “I am so excited for this year’s Palace Theatre summer programme. It is full of a variety of events for any occasion, whether that be a family night out or for a meet up with friends. There really is something for everyone.

“We are delighted to offer pre-showing dining for some shows too and we really hope to open our doors and welcome many new and familiar faces to the theatre.  I really believe there is nothing quite like live music or live comedy to lift your spirits and help you escape the everyday.  With dramas, music, comedy, murder mysteries, talks and more, have a look at our full programme on our website now, or pop in and have a chat with our box office staff!”

The Palace Theatre also offer gift vouchers which make the ideal present for theatre lovers and those who cherish unique experiences.  Café Nineteen20 at the Palace Theatre, Newark opens from Tuesday to Sunday, 10am until 3pm serving a delicious selection of hot and cold lunches, homemade cakes, drinks and more, including vegan, gluten and allergen free options too.
