Residents encouraged to sign up to e-newsletter
Posted on: Friday, November 25, 2022Newark and Sherwood District Council launched its own e-newsletter back in March 2022 providing residents with the latest news and information that affects them in their community. From events to elections, and from changes to recycling services to Council Tax updates, it’s the easiest way to keep up to date in the district
With the cost of living and energy bills on the rise, now more than ever it’s important that the District Council gets vital information to those living in the district. From energy support grants to contact details for local services who can offer help with food, the District Council’s e-newsletter ‘News to Me’ is providing residents with the essential need-to-know information every month.
To sign up, residents can either go to the District Council website and click on the pop up when it appears on their website, or they can go directly to: http://ow.ly/OvKC50IkTxR or https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/UKNSDC/subscriber/new
John Robinson, Chief Executive at Newark and Sherwood District Council said, “By signing up to the Council newsletter residents can get the latest news and information that affects them sent directly to their email, which can be accessed on a mobile or laptop with direct links through to application form or further information support.
“It’s an environmentally friendly and quick way for us to share information with our residents and we really encourage readers to get in touch to let us know what else they’d like to see in each edition.
“Feedback from the resident survey showed us that, from all other forms of communication available, e-newsletters is by far the most popular and preferred method. In addition, 3,000 residents who received our last monthly e-newsletter and following a survey within it, confirmed that they are well received, are informative and full of helpful and relevant information. In the same survey, we also identified a number of other topics that residents were keen to know more about, and these will be shared in the next few editions. We will repeat this survey at a later date to ensure our e-newsletters remain led by what residents want and need to know.”
The e-newsletter ‘News to Me’ is sent to residents on the last Friday of each month. It’s hoped soon other e-newsletters will be created including one focused on local businesses in the district and another just for Newark and Sherwood District Council tenants.
