Affordable Housing SPD

Adopted SPD

The Affordable Housing SPD (PDF File, 786kb) was adopted by the Council in July 2013. It provides more details about how the planning system will help secure the provision of affordable housing in the District and when affordable housing will be required on new developments (including how much and what type).

Please note, the thresholds contained within Core Policy 1 and repeated in the Affordable Housing SPD (PDF File, 786kb) have now been superseded by Government Policy. Accordingly contributions will now be sought on proposals of 10 or more dwellings, or where the site area is 0.5ha or greater.
