Newark and Sherwood District Council is currently undertaking a review of its polling districts and polling places and is inviting views from the public to see if anything needs changing.
Register of Electors annual canvass 2019
Household enquiry forms will be delivered to every property in the District from Friday 19 July 2019, to make sure we know who is eligible to register to vote. Please respond immediately.
Local Elections 2019
The Newark and Sherwood District Council and Parish Elections will take place on Thursday 2 May 2019.
Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm. Polling cards will be sent to registered voters.
European Parliamentary Elections 2019
The European Parliamentary (East Midlands region) election will be held on Thursday 23 May 2019.

Community Governance Review of Newark Town Council Boundaries
Newark and Sherwood District Council would like to hear the views of residents and any interested parties after Newark Town Council requested that a Community Governance Review be undertaken of Newark and the surrounding areas in light of the planning permission and site layout in respect of the development on land to the south of Newark.

Elected Mayor Petition
The Returning Officer must publish a notice each year giving the 5% figure required for the submission of a petition to the authority to hold a referendum on whether to have an elected a mayor.
