Together with partners including Active4Today, Newark Castle Cycling Club, Velo Club Flintham, Sherwood Pines and British Cycling we are proud to be part of the Newark and Sherwood Festival of Cycling.
The aim of our festival is to support, excite and inspire locals who enjoy cycling as well as those who perhaps have never ridden a bike in their lives.
We have teamed up with British Cycling, Newark Castle Cycle Club, Sherwood Pines and the Velo Club Flintham along with other local partners to offer a wide range of activities when the tour visits the district.
We are hoping that there is lots of appeal for families and the next generation of tour riders!
The festival programme for 2018 is being planned and new events will continue to be added each week.

Sunday 9 September Cycle Live Notts Ride the Tour
To celebrate the Tour of Britain coming to Nottinghamshire again this year, Cycle Live is delighted to announce the Cycle Live Notts Tour Ride on Sunday 9 September. This event will give participants the chance to ride the same Nottinghamshire route as the longest stage of this year’s Tour of Britain – all 140 miles of it!
The roads are being closed to traffic in Nottingham on Sunday 16 September as the city hosts a street festival for anyone on a bike.
Music, food and drink, fun and games, demos, giveaways, activities, challenges, face painting – it’s all happening.
It’s free to enter, you get to see your city in a different way and it’s a fun, active, family-friendly day out. You don’t have to go the 5k distance – just as much or as little as you want. And you don’t need to be an experienced cyclist – there are no cars on the road, you can wobble, zig-zag and stop as much as you like.
You just need to be up for some fun. Everyone’s invited – see you there!
