Welcome to Public Access

Getting started

In using this facility you agree to be bound by the council's website terms of use, together with specific terms of use (see below) for using and viewing information on our planning application website.

To enable you to submit comments and track applications, users must register on the system.

Are there any limitations to the service?

The online planning history (including Enforcement Notices Register) contained within the site may be incomplete. It is not intended, and must not be used, as a substitute for carrying out a formal Land Charge Search.

Newark and Sherwood District Council accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained using the online application website.

The information displayed within the site does not constitute a formal notification of a planning decision to applicants/agent and, as such, any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.

Plans and documents can currently be viewed for planning applications submitted from April 2005.

Documents for all newly-validated applications will be online within 5 working days of receipt of a valid application and at the start of the consultation period.

The website may not represent the full register, therefore please contact our Customer Services Team to confirm all details are correct.

You can search Appeal details for applications where an appeal has been lodged and a decision issued.  Information including status, decision and documents may be available to view.

Date Published (Documents Tab)  – As part of works undertaken during transfer data from our previous website to the current Public Access website, a default date of 01 Mar 2013 was used within Date Published field for all documents received prior to this date.  If you require the correct date of receipt, please open the document for the date stamp.  Furthermore, the date listed under this heading for documents received after 01 Mar 2013 is the date the Business Unit actually received the document.

Enforcement Register contains those notices served from 2012 onwards.  Should you require details of notices served prior to 2012 please contact our Customer Services Team.  We continue to review those notices served prior to 2012, therefore a small number may be available online.

If you cannot find the details of an application it is recommended that you contact our Customer Services Team.

Building Control information is not available on the website.  If you require further information regarding Building Control please contact East Midlands Building Consultancy.
