Public Transport

If you're travelling ny public transport, contact Traveline (www.traveline.org.uk or 0871 200 2233) for information to help with your journey. Alternatively, Marshalls run a bus service (timetables available at www.marshallscoaches.co.uk/services).

The theatre is no more than a 10-15 minute walk from Newark Bus Station, Newark Northgate Train Station (East Coast Mainline trains run north to Retford and Doncaster and south to Grantham and Peterborough) and Newark Castle Train Station (local trains to Nottingham and Lincoln).

Parking

If you're travelling by car, you'll find convenient pay and display parking in the Appletongate Car Park (NG24 1JR) and London Road Car Park (NG24 1TN).

For evening performances, parking in both of these is £1 between 6pm and midnight. There is also limited on-street parking on Appletongate after 6pm.

The Box Office is open 10am-5pm (10am-4pm for winter hours from Nov-Feb), 7 days a week.

On days when there is an evening show, the Box Office will remain open until after the show has started. For morning performances, Box Office will be open no later than one hour before the show starts.

Online bookings are subject to a £1 per transaction fee. For an additional £1 your tickets can be posted to you.

Concessions and Offers

Where available, concessions may apply to children (under 16), senior citizens, families, disabled people, registered unemployed, Palace Theatre Members and groups. Not all discounts apply to all shows.

Babies under 12 months go free but most hold a valid ticket.

Special offers do not apply to previously purchased tickets.

Access information

There is ramped access from street level and a lift gives complete access to the foyer, downstairs bar and disabled toilet. A further lift gives access to the Byron Room and 1st floor. Please note that this lift does not allow for complete access to the circle and there are no toilet facilities on this level.

The stalls auditorium includes four wheelchair spaces with a companion seat next to them and several seats suitable for those with mobility difficulty. When booking your tickets, please discuss your requirements with the Box Office.

The auditorium is fitted with an infra-red induction loop for the benefit of patrons with hearing difficulties. 

We welcome assistance dogs registered in the UK and water is provided on request. Please inform the Box Office staff when booking.
