Empty Homes Review
In support of the Government’s initiative to tackle the shortfall in national housing, Newark and Sherwood District Council is currently undertaking a review of empty Council Tax properties.
CapacityGrid is a specialist public sector service provider who is working with us to conduct a review of empty properties.
You may have recently received a letter requesting information about your property, this will be asking you to provide information as to whether or not your property is currently occupied.
If you have received a letter it is because the council has a legal duty to maintain accurate records for the billing and collection of Council Tax. The purpose of the letter is to ensure the council’s records are correct.
You can complete a short form online for which you will need to have your property reference number and your update passcode. Both of these numbers will appear on the letter you have received.
