Muskham Rural Community Centre
This Community Centre in North Muskham is a multifunctional venue for the whole community. The centre is available for hire to the local community and beyond to the surrounding area by groups and individuals.
The centre is suitable for family celebrations, weddings, christenings, parties, any special occasions, community groups, sports organisations, companies, drama groups and caravan rallies, both large and small.
The venue includes a large hall complete with stage and lighting systems, a smaller hall and a meeting room with internet access.
Provision has been made for full disability access and disabled facilities.
South Scarle Community Centre
South Scarle Community Centre is located within St Helena’s Church in the scenic village of South Scarle, 7 miles from Newark, on the Notts/Lincs border.
The Community Centre is now the hub of our village social and community life.
St Helena’s is a Grade 1 listed building which dates from the 12th Century. It provides a beautiful backdrop for private parties and receptions, family celebrations, business meetings, group activities, theatrical performances/rehearsals, concerts etc
Upton Village Hall
The Hall is a pleasant warm and welcoming venue and now has a new moveable modular stage and spotlights! It can accommodate 50/60 people for events and functions.
Winthorpe Community Centre
The Winthorpe Community Centre was opened in 2000. The centre contains a main hall that can hold up to 120 people for talks or concerts. A stage is available if required. A smaller room can seat up to 16 people for meetings.
Other facilities include a bar, a kitchen with commercial standard catering equipment, changing rooms and toilets.
The venue is ideal for wedding receptions, parties, group activities and conferences. There is parking space for 50 cars.
The grounds include two tennis courts managed by the tennis club, a junior football pitch which is the home of the Winthorpe and Coddington Tigers younger teams. There is play equipment for younger children.
The start of the Jubilee Walk is close to the centre. It leads down through a nature reserve area to a bridge over a stream and then across to the cricket field and out onto Holme Lane.
