White Ribbon Campaign 2017
Campaign Against Violence to Women 2017
There will be 16 days of action starting on November 25, 2017 to help build a safer world for all.
The White Ribbon campaign is the largest effort in the world of men working to end men's violence against women. It relies on volunteer support and financial contributions from individuals and organisations.
Wearing a white ribbon is a personal pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.
Each year, the charity urges men and boys to wear a ribbon for one or two weeks. At 11am on November 25, the International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women, over 1.5 million people will get a message about the White Ribbon Campaign from over 300 social media accounts. For more information about the campaign visit their website or make a pledge.
During the campaign there will be information, banners and ribbons available in Newark Town Hall.
