The system may be unavailable between 1am and 6am each morning due to maintenance.
The online planning history contained within the site may be incomplete. It is not intended, and must not be used, as a substitute for carrying out a formal Land Charge Search.
Newark and Sherwood District Council accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained using the online application website.
The information displayed within the site does not constitute a formal notification of a planning decision to applicants/agent and, as such, any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.
We aim to have all documents relating to planning applications available to view within five working days of the planning application being deemed valid and at the start of the consultation period.
Decided only Applications for Tree Works are published.
Date Published (Documents Tab) – As part of works undertaken during transfer data from our previous website to the current Public Access website, a default date of 01 Mar 2013 was used within Date Published field for all documents received prior to this date. If you require the correct date of receipt, please open the document for the date stamp.
If you cannot find the details of an application it is recommended that you contact our Customer Services Team.

Are there any copyright or document restrictions?
All plans, drawings, maps and material submitted to the Authority and appearing on this site are protected by Section 47 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. Unless the 1988 Act provides a relevant exception to copyright, you may only use material, which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes; to compare current planning applications with previous schemes and to ascertain if developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans. All plans, drawings, maps and material on this site must not be copied without the prior permission of the copyright owner. Please note that whilst all images on this website are scans of scaled originals, the images will not appear at any particular scale on your computer screen. Figured dimensions, where they appear, are the only reliable methods of obtaining measurements from these images.
Security, data protection and online documents.
It is a principle of the planning process that it should be open and transparent. In accordance with national guidance on best practice, the council will try to make as much information as possible available via the online register.
In accordance with the council's data protection policy the procedures outlined below are followed when publishing documents online.
Representations on planning applications do form part of the Statutory Register, however we do not publish these online. You can view representations on the working file, along with applications that do not appear on this site, at Kelham Hall during normal office hours. We will not display anything which is personally identifiable including your name, address, telephone number or email address to the public. Turnaround time is subject to availability of resources. We strongly recommended you contact our Customer Services Team to arrange an appointment beforehand.
As part of the planning process we publish many documents, and on occasion human error can occur. If you notice something on the site that causes you concerns please email firstname.lastname@example.org - please provide the application reference and document details and we will do our best to resolve the matter.
