Fosseway Writing Group
FOSSEWAY WRITERS is a long-established Newark group which holds monthly meetings at Knight’s Court social room, Baldertongate on the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 9pm. There is a varied programme of speakers or workshops in all genres and we also hold two social events a year. Membership is a reasonable £12 per annum and members pay an additional 50p per monthly meeting at Knight's Court. Visitors are always welcome to our Knight's Court meetings for a small contribution of £1 towards costs.
In addition to the speaker evenings, informal opportunities to read work in progress or themed pieces provide members with feedback and encouragement. There are also open competitions in different genres.
Don't forget that the Flash Fiction competition is still open, you have until 6 July to enter. it's only 100 words long, so give it a try!
