Dance for Fitness
Do you enjoy settling down for the latest episode of Strictly Come Dancing? Ever thought about giving it a go yourself?
Dancing can be hugely beneficial to your health. Regular dancing can help you lose weight, strengthen your bones, improve your posture, increase strength, increase balance and co-ordination and beat stress.
You will have fun learning and meet new people while getting all the benefits of a good workout. Don't despair if you don't enjoy your first class. There are lots of different types of dance you can try. Keep going until you find the one that suits you.
When you attend a dance class make sure you are wearing comfortable clothing which you can move in and shoes appropriate to the dance style. Avoid wearing jewellery as this may get caught on clothing when you move.
