Sources of advice-providing organisations:

Advice Now is an independent, not for profit website providing accurate information on rights and legal issues. 

Advice UK is the largest UK network of advice-providing organisations.  They don't give advice themselves, but can put you in touch with the right advice giving-agency. 

Citizens Advice Bureau provide free, confidential and independent advice.

Debt Advice Foundation offers a range of self help tools and practical guides on how to manage money effectively, budget and negotiate directly with creditors.

Gov UK Civil Legal Advice Information on getting legal aid

Pay Plan offer free, independent and impartial expert advice. 

StepChange Debt Charity provide debt help to thousands of people from all over the UK every week. Try their 60 second debt test to see how they can help you.

Talk About Debt is free to use and provides access to confidential debt charity help lines which offer practical advice, in order to help customers receive the right debt advice for their personal circumstances.

Your local library offers information on a wide range of topics including money management, legal information, business and consumer advice.
